alternating months in the Small
Print & the Digital Image sections there is a Set Subject. This
ecourages members to photograph subjects which they would not normally
consider or to photograph their normal subjects, using a different
style or method. The results of these competitions can be very
interesting, quite often with a very wide range of
interpretation.

SUBJECT | | March 09 | Three Of A Kind: An image in which an element or feature of the image appears 3 times.
Eg: 3 red bins in a row of bins.
Note: Simply cloning on it's own should be avoided. | | May 11 | Shadow: An image showing the outline cast by an object intercepting a source of light.
It
is desirable that part of the image should contain part of the feature
casting the shadow and not simply the shadow on it's own. | | July 13 | Machines: A study of a mechanical apparatus used to perform work. A part of the machine is also acceptable | | September 14 | Heat: An image depicting the concept of heat, the feeling of warmth, the quality of being hot. |
